Another one-run loss for the Twins as they were dropped by the Mariners on Mike Zunino’s walk-off homer in the 12th inning Saturday night.
Zunino knew it as soon as he hit it, crushing a hanging slider from right-hander Matt Magill over the wall in left field.
Adding injury to insult, Byron Buxton left the game when he slammed hard into the center-field-wall trying to make a leaping catch on Nelson Cruz’s home run in the sixth inning.

He hit the wall at full speed, the collision knocking his hat off and slamming him back to the ground. Buxton was woozy and had a cut above his left eye and was forced to leave the game.
Manager Paul Molitor said Buxton went through concussion tests and was fine after the game, although he’ll likely be sore the next couple of days.
