Ever wondered why you haven’t been able to stream Twins games on a computer or mobile device? If so, wonder no more, because starting next season Twins fans will be able to do just that.
Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred announced a new three-year agreement with FOX allowing fans to stream live in-market games on any mobile device.
The expansion of live streaming will give fans in 15 markets in which FOX has the regional sports network: Atlanta, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Texas, Detroit, Kansas City, Los Angeles Angels, Miami, Milwaukee, Minnesota, New York Yankees, Arizona, San Diego, St. Louis and Tampa Bay.
According to the Business Journal, previously Twins fans were able to stream games by using the FOX Sports GO app (which comes with a cable subscription) to watch games as long as they were not in the local Twins’ television market.
But what this does for 1st time is provide in-market games on device of one's choosing. That by itself is a big step forward for sport
