Kevin Love filled up the stat sheet at Target Center Friday night, putting up 32 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists to lead Minnesota to a 116-108 win over Dallas.
Kevin Martin added 32 of his own on 10-of-19 shooting, while Corey Brewer and Nikola Pekovic combined for 32 as well.
Dallas was led by offseason acquisition Monta Ellis who scored 23, while point guard Jose Calderon added 21 on 6-of-8 from beyond the arc.
The Wolves were without forward Derrick Williams, who missed the game because of back spasms, so they played just nine, with Dante Cunningham forced to play 30 minutes off the bench. Robbie Hummel saw his most extensive action as a Wolf, playing 11 minutes in place of Williams.
Dallas was without Vince Carter, who was suspended for the contest after an intentional elbow he threw against the Thunder earlier this week.
The Wolves improve to 4-2 on the season while Dallas drops to 3-3 on the young year.
Minnesota is back in action Sunday at Staples Center in Los Angeles to face the Lakers at 8:30 p.m.
