The Timberwolves pounded Portland, 106-94 Wednesday night at Target Center for their third straight win, and fifth straight at home. Kevin Love continued his torrid pace with 29 points and 16 rebounds and Wes Johnson had his best game as a pro, scoring 19 points on 8-11 shooting.
Minnesota hit double-digit three-pointers for a third straight game, too. As a team, the Wolves shot 13-23 from downtown.
Love and Johnson weren’t the only players to light up the scoreboard. Luke Ridnour scored 22, including 3-6 from three.
The Wolves, 21-19, are now alone as the No. 8 team in the Western Conference playoff race.
