The Timberwolves got 36 points from Kevin Love and they cruised to a 91-73 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Target Center Friday night. Love also pulled down 13 rebounds for his 8th double-double in nine games.
On Wednesday the Wolves shot an ugly 14-30 from the free throw line against the Celtics. Minnesota was much-improved against the Cavs, shooting 27-35 from the line. Love made 18 trips to the line, hitting 14 of his attempts.
Andrei Kirilenko was back in the lineup after missing four games with back spasms. Meanwhile, Brandon Roy, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee last month, will be in Minnesota on Sunday. David Kahn says the first order of business for Roy will be getting checked out by the medical staff. It’s unclear when Roy will resume playing.
Minnesota is now off until next Wednesday when they host Denver.
