The Minnesota Timberwolves were beaten 118-106 in their return to Target Center Wednesday night, by the New York Knicks.
It was the first win for the Knicks since they beat New Orleans on Feb. 19, according to the Associated Press. It drops the Wolves back to .500 at 30-30.
The Wolves defense let them down, Wednesday. After giving up 45 points in the fourth quarter of their 132-128 victory over Denver, Minnesota had a tough time stopping the Knicks who shot 52 percent from the floor and put up 118 points.
The Wolves had no answer for Carmelo Anthony he scored 33 points and was one of six Knicks in double-figures. Tyson Chandler had an elite performance. He scored 15 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and severely limited Kevin Love, especially in the second half.
Tyson Chandler still an elite defender when handed a challenge. Very few, if any, have limited Love like that this season.

The loss adds injury to insult for Kevin Love. With the Knicks in town rumors of his departure from Minnesota again heated up, and the Clippers’ Blake Griffin was chosen over him for the NBA’s Player of the Month Award for February despite career numbers posted by Love.
The lone bright spot for the Wolves, the play of rookie Shabazz Muhammed, he scored 10 points off the bench and was a perfect 5 of 5 from the floor.
The Wolves will try to bounce back on Friday night against Detroit.
