Despite numerous reports the last few months that Aaron Rodgers has been unhappy with decisions made by the front office, it sure looks like Rodgers plans on playing for the Green Bay Packers through the end of his career.
Speaking at the Wisconsin High School Sports Awards, Rodgers said he’s driven by “sustained greatness” and hopes to have a “fairytale ending of starting a career and ending it with the same organization,” according to Aaron Nagler of PackersNews.com.
“That’s kind of my goal, is to be able to be indispensable to this organization into my 40s to where you’ve got to keep me around.”

In mid-April, Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson reported that Rodgers was “frustrated” and “emotional” with the Packers after they didn’t reach out to him before getting rid of wide receiver Jordy Nelson and former quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt, adding that those decisions would likely impact future contract negotiations with Rodgers.

Rodgers is entering the sixth year of a seven-year contract, and it stands to reason that Green Bay could back up the Brinks truck to pay him a record-setting contract.
They can also choose to pay Rodgers what he’s owed this season and next, and then franchise tag him two years in a row, keeping him from reaching free agency until he’s 38 years old.
Rodgers is still just 34 years old and has killed the NFC North his entire career to the tune of 40 wins and just 14 losses, not to mention a stunning 115 touchdown passes to only 21 interceptions.
In 19 regular season games against the Vikings, Rodgers has 39 touchdown passes and six interceptions.
