The NBA Draft Lottery is Tuesday night and the Minnesota Timberwolves will be hoping for a little luck.
The Wolves, who landed the NBA’s Rookie of the Year, Karl-Anthony Towns, with last year’s number one selection will be sending Towns back to the lottery on Tuesday bringing with him Flip Saunders’ wedding rings.

Towns turned out to be quite the lucky charm for the Wolves in his rookie season. He averaged 18.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game for the Wolves. In the end he helped Minnesota win 13 more games this year than they did last year. He was named the unanimous Rookie of the Year by the NBA Monday.
The Wolves will have the fifth most ping pong balls in the lottery. They will have 88 of the 1,000 balls in the hopper, or about an 8.8 percent chance of getting the top pick.
The best chance of landing in the top spot is Philadelphia at 25 percent. The Los Angeles Lakers have a 19.9 percent chance of getting the first pick, Boston and Phoenix also have better chances than Minnesota.
Sports Illustrated notes the top three picks are selected with the lottery’s ping pong balls. Picks four through 14 are then chosen by record and coin flips determine who picks between teams with the same record.
