We’ll admit it: we’re still bitter about Eagles fans throwing beer cans and Eagles quarterback Nick Foles throwing touchdowns en route to a soul-crushing loss by the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game last season.
The Eagles won our Super Bowl in our stadium, and it hurts. But it feels really good when we see things like this:

That’s video from Monday night, with Cincinnati Reds star Joey Votto sprinting after a foul ball to keep a fan dressed in an Eagles jersey from getting it.

“I was just having fun with them,” Votto said via NBC. They give you a hard time during the game and that’s my way of trying to give them a hard time back.”
When asked what he would say to Philly fans who are mad at him, Votto leaned in towards the camera and said, “too bad.”
A writer from Philly Voicecalled Votto a “jerk,” but that seems like a term better reserved for those who throw unopened beer cans at people.
