Minnesota Wild fans have a chance to help the team make a big decision.
No it’s not which player to sign, or start, but it will have a direct impact on the game day experience inside the Xcel Energy Center.
The Wild are considering changing their goal song from Joe Satriani’s “Crowd Chant” to Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy!”
The move would be the Wild’s way of continuing to honor the iconic Minnesota music legend. According to the Star Tribune, the Wild have asked season ticket holders for their input.
Minnesota did make the change briefly, in Game 6 of the first-round of last season’s Stanley Cup Playoffs. It was one of several tributes made to Prince, who died days before the game.

The blog Puck Daddy even notes that if you listen carefully you can hear some of the fans singing along with the song.
In the survey the Wild are offering season ticket holders that want to change the goal song to something other than “Let’s Go Crazy!” a chance to weigh in as well. One question asks for other song suggestions.
