Minnesota Vikings superfan Millie Wall, better known as “Grandma Millie,” has died at the age of 102.
Grandma Millie went viral when she attended her first Vikings playoff game at the age of 99 during the 2017-18 season, and that game just so happened to end with the “Minneapolis Miracle,” where quarterback Case Keenum threw a touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs as time expired to beat the New Orleans Saints.
“Our hearts are broken to hear of the passing of Grandma Millie. Millie, who was named one of our 60 Greatest Fans and our 2020 Fan of the Year, will certainly be missed,” the Vikings said in a statement.
Wall told FOX 9 that she watched every Vikings game from 1961 on, usually drinking a screwdriver and throwing a fake brick at the TV when she was upset.
Ashley Wall tweeted that her grandmother passed away Thursday.
“It is with great sadness that I announce my Grandma Millie passed away earlier today at the age of 102. She was a remarkable woman who lived a beautiful life filled with faith, family, kindness, laughter, & love. She will be so missed by so many & she will never be forgotten,” Wall wrote.
