The Minnesota Timberwolves will make a “major announcement” this Thursday at 10 a.m. from Prince’s famous home, Paisley Park in Chanhassen.
Why do it from Paisley Park? No one knows for sure, but every indication points to the team unveiling Prince-themed uniforms that they’ll wear during some games at Target Center this season.
SportsLogos.net actually leaked the full uniforms last week, noting that the black uniforms have purple and white lettering similar to the album cover of Prince’s 1984 hit “Purple Rain.”
The first leak was the uniform top, provided by @TwolvesFRA on Twitter.

The #Wolves' City Edition uniforms (clearly an homage to Prince) have been leaked 🔥

Minnesota’s grey uniforms are technically their City Edition digs, so the Prince theme might be an extension of the community-inspired City Edition or something else entirely. We’ll find out on Thursday.
