The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped their second game of a back-to-back as they fell to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night by a score of 133-126.
Wednesday’s game featured a battle of two of the best shooting guards in the NBA as Malik Beasley squared off with Zach LaVine. Beasley lived up to his end of the duel, scoring 25 points on the night to help the Wolves take the lead at the end of the first quarter.

While Beasley paced the Timberwolves early, LaVine helped Chicago take control of the game late in the first half. The former Timberwolf put up 35 points and sparked a 7-2 run to give Chicago a 68-58 lead at halftime.
The Bulls built a 14-point lead in the second half, but Minnesota made a charge in the fourth quarter. With Karl-Anthony Towns scoring 24 points and adding eight rebounds and five assists, the Timberwolves fought their way back to make it a three-point game late in regulation.
With 4.9 seconds remaining, Ricky Rubio was fouled and made three free throws to force overtime.
The Timberwolves would be without Towns in the extra frame after the center fouled out late in regulation. With LaVine leading the way, the Bulls pulled away outscoring Minnesota 14-7 in overtime to come away with the victory.
The Wolves fell to 7-25 on the season and will travel to Washington on Saturday night.
