A season-defining road win? Call it what you want, but it was a big win for the Timberwolves over the Warriors Sunday night and was made possible by the late-game heroics of Kyle Anderson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mike Conley and Jaden McDaniels.
Trailing 96-95 with under 20 seconds to play, Anderson stole the ball from Draymond Green and found for a transition 3-pointer that proved to be the winning bucket in Minnesota’s 99-96 victory.
After taking the lead, Conley locked up Jordan Poole and Jaden McDaniels wouldn’t let Steph Curry get open and the Timberwolves came up with a game-winning defensive stop.
With the win the Wolves move up to seventh in the Western Conference and now sit just a half game back of Golden State for sixth and a game and a half behind the Suns for fourth place.
