The Twins tied up their game with the Texas Rangers in the top of the eighth inning Friday, but an outfield error allowed Texas to break the tie and eventually emerge with a 6 – 2 win in Arlington.
Twins pitcher Tommy Milone made his second start since being called up from Triple-A Rochester and had a 1-0 lead in the seventh, before he allowed a two-run homer run to Rangers’ Elvis Andrus, MLB.com reports.
More serious damage came in the eighth inning, when Twins center fielder Aaron Hicks made a costly error. The ball bounced off his glove, allowing two Rangers to score on the play and break the tie.
