Minnesota lost 5-3 to the Royals on Sunday, with Kansas City completing the three-game sweep. What’s worse is that the Royals pretty much beat the Twins on former Twin Drew Butera’s 3-run, inside-the-park home run.
If you’re not paying attention to baseball this year, you should know that the Royals are dead last in the Central division and owners of the second-worst record in all of Major League Baseball. At 30-68, the only team worse than the Royals is the Baltimore Orioles, who are 28-72.
The Royals are now 6-3 against the Twins and 24-65 against every other team.
On a positive note, Ervin Santana is set to start for the Twins for the first time this season on Wednesday.
