Native Minnesotan Jamie Langenbrunner would like to play for the Wild.
“I’ve been pushing my (agent) to do some talking (to the Wild) for me,” Langenbrunner told the Duluth News Tribune. “That would, obviously, be the ideal situation from a family standpoint.”
Langenbrunner was a star at Cloquet High School and has played 18 seasons in the NHL with the Devils, Stars and Blues.
Langenbrunner, 37, underwent season-ending hip surgery in February, but he’s getting closer to playing again.
Pro Hockey Talk guesses Langenbrunner will at least get a tryout with the Wild.
