There has been a happy resolution to the controversy surrounding Kyle Rudolph’s gloves, after the man who bought them off of eBay came forward.
While the media member who Rudolph gave the gloves to after Sunday’s game against the Saints hasn’t been identified, a man named Jason King came forward and confirmed he was the person who bought the gloves for $375 after they’d been put up for sale.
In a tweet to Rudolph, the New Jersey-based Vikings fan said he’d happily make a donation to a charity of Rudolph’s choosing, with Rudolph responding by offering him tickets to this Saturday’s NFL Divisional clash with the 49ers.

King has since launched a fundraising drive for the charities selected by Rudolph.

Kyle Rudolph has expressed his disappointment after the pair of gloves he was wearing during Sunday’s playoff win over the New Orleans Saints were sold on Ebay.
On Twitter Wednesday, Rudolph noted that he had given the gloves to an unnamed member of the media in the locker room after the game, having been asked for them to be sold at a charity benefit.
But a screenshot sent to Rudolph by a fan showed that the gloves had already been sold on Ebay for $375.
“A member of the media in the locker room after the game asked if he could have my gloves for a charity benefit, so I said of course and I will even sign them for you!” Rudolph tweeted.
“Well he got me, sold on eBay 3 days later.”

His tweet was met with several responses from fans arguing that the media member should be called out.
He later clarified that it wasn’t a reporter that he knew – not a Twin Cities-based one or one of the national reporters.
“Locker room was a zoo, he asked for them, I said of course and even offered to sign them.”
Rudolph made the game-winning catch in overtime, hanging onto a Kirk Cousins throw to give the Vikings a famous victory at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
He is also the Vikings’ nominee for the 2019 Walter Payton Man of the Year award, after being recognized for his work with children’s hospitals in the Twin Cities.
