For whatever the reasons might be, the Twins seem to have the Cleveland’s number this season.
Minnesota took three of four against the Indians at Target Field earlier this season and they opened a big three-game series on Friday in Cleveland with a 6-3 victory.
Kyle Gibson allowed just one run on three hits over seven innings and in doing so lowered his ERA to 3.27 on the season.

It was a big spot performance considering the Twins were facing Cy Young candidate Corey Kluber, who entered the game at 10-2 with a 1.99 ERA.
Kluber hadn’t allowed more than three runs in any start this season, but Minnesota got four against him thanks to home runs by Eddie Rosario in the first inning and Brian Dozier in the fifth.
Rosario is now hitting .313 with 15 homers and 44, all of which place him among the leaders in the American League.
Game two of the series is at 3:10 p.m. Saturday. Fernando Romero starts for the Twins against Cleveland right-hander Carlos Carrasco.
