New York Rangers 2
Minnesota Wild 5
The Minnesota Wild just keep on winning. Their offense was all over the ice for a second consecutive night in a 5-2 victory, Thursday night at the Xcel Energy Center.
1. Dubnyk returns with a victory
After Darcy Kuemper played well in his four consecutive starts in net for the Wild, Devan Dubnyk returned for Minnesota after recovering from a strained groin.
Dubnyk played well – holding the Rangers to just a pair of goals on 23 shots. He also had plenty of support from his teammates, who for the second straight night created plenty of scoring opportunities.
2. The captain keeps the Wild offense rolling
Mikko Koivu had a pair of goals and an assist in the Wild victory. They were Koivu’s seventh and eighth goals of the season to go with his 20th assist.
Koivu bookended Minnesota’s scoring efforts as he put Minnesota on the scoreboard, then capped off the scoring on his second one.

3. Stoll debuts against former team
The newest Wild member Jarrett Stoll made his debut Thursday night against his former team. While Stoll didn’t score in the game, he did made the box score.
The veteran took a two minute penalty for tripping in the second period.
