Good news for the Minnesota Wild on Thursday as team captain Mikko Koivu was skating with the team during practice and he’s expected to play against the Flyers.
Official word from the team on Koivu’s status is yet to come, but it’s a great sign considering he was reportedly coughing up blood after falling hard into the boards in Minnesota’s 4-2 win over Columbus on Tuesday.
Mikko Koivu, 36 hours after being hospitalized following a hit, is on the ice. Don't be surprised if he plays tonight. #mnwild
