Outspoken veteran punter Chris Kluwe says he’d like to play at least four to five more years in the NFL, and if he’s cut from the Vikings, he knows of at least four teams looking for immediate help this year.
Kluwe, who has been the Vikings punter since 2005, spoke at the College of St. Benedict last night, WJON radio reports.
He made headlines this past season for being an advocate of the marriage equality issue as well as gay rights. But when the Vikings drafted UCLA punter Jeff Locke last weekend, Kluwe admitted his days in Minnesota were likely numbered.
Earlier this week, Kluwe told KARE-TV that if he had to guess, there’s probably a three to five percent chance he’ll be retained.
