The Gophers have a few injury concerns heading into this weekend’s non-conference game at New Mexico State.
The Star Tribune has the full injury report, but here the key players mentioned.
Donnell Kirkwood: The running back is doubtful with a sprained ankle.
Derrick Wells: The safety is questionable with a hamstring injury. He missed the opener against UNLV last week.
The #Gophers aren't forcing CB Derrick Wells (hamstring) back into starting role Saturday. He's practicing but might play some or not at all

Jamel Harbison will miss a second straight game because of an unspecified team violation, the Pioneer Press reports.
The Aggies allowed more than 700 yards of total offense in a 56-7 loss at Texas last weekend. Surprisingly, they were only down by a touchdown, 14-7 at the half before the Longhorns erupted for six second half touchdowns.
