Kirill Kaprizov scored three goals in the third period to break a 0-0 deadlock and fuel the Minnesota Wild to a 4-0 victory over the Arizona Coyotes Friday night.
Kaprizov buried his first goal 5:47 into the final period, then scored again two minutes and 27 seconds later for a 2-0 Minnesota lead. The rookie sensation completed the hat trick on a one-timer from the left circle with under a minute left in the game.

Kaprizov has 10 goals and 13 assists in 25 games this season, which is already closing in on Marian Gaborik’s franchise record for points by a rookie. Gaborik finished with 18 goals and 18 assists in 71 games as a rookie in the Wild’s expansion season in 2001.
Minnesota’s goaltending was outstanding again as Cam Talbot made 25 saves to earn the shutout.
Jonas Brodin scored an empty-net goal with 58.8 seconds to play to seal the deal for the Wild, who are now 16-8-1.
The Coyotes will stay in Minnesota for two more games against the Wild; Sunday at 1 p.m. and Tuesday at 7 p.m.
