Big Ten Media Days kicked off in Chicago on Wednesday and Jerry Kill sounded like a refreshed man.
Kill tells the Pioneer Press that he feels like he in the best shape of his life, and he’s been working with an epilepsy specialist to help keep his seizures under control.
“I may not look it but I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life,” Kill said.
The most recent seizure to knock Coach Kill out of a game was last November when he suffered a seizure during halftime of Minnesota’s 26-10 loss to Michigan State.
After winning six games the previous two seasons, the Gophers won six games in 2012 and got to a bowl game.
“We got better a year ago, and I look forward to seeing us get better this year,” he said. Watch Kill’s entire press conference in the video below.
A couple of players to watch when preseason camp begins August 2nd are incoming freshman Chris Streveler and Donovahn Jones. According to the Star Tribune, both Streveler and Jones will see time at quarterback and wide receiver.
