Timberwolves forward Kevin Love underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, the team announced Wednesday.
The operation to remove scar tissue was performed by Dr. David Altchek in New York. Love also had a metal plate in his broken right hand removed.
Love began feeling pain in his knee in November. The original plan was to play through the pain, but on Monday the team decided it would be better to resolve the issue soon than later.
The surgery is usually accompanied by a recovery period of four to six weeks.
