Kevin Garnett is finally home.
Twenty years after he was drafted by the Timberwolves and after a seven years away in Boston and Brooklyn, Garnett was welcomed back to Minnesota Tuesday afternoon at a press conference in the Target Center skyway.

"This is one of the reasons I looked at this picture. It's probably the most talent on the #TWolves since it's been assembled." -KG

Garnett didn’t commit to playing beyond this season, but said he’d listen to his body during the offseason before deciding. He did say he was here for the long term and even expressed an interest in being a part of the team’s ownership some day.
It was similar to a statement he made in November, while still playing for the Nets.
"If I was going to waive my no-trade clause it was going to be just for this. This is the perfect situation. This is full circle."

KG even had some fun with some of the local reporters, joking about calling up Twins outfielder Torii Hunter, who also has recently returned to Minnesota.
Sid Hartman, KG have a laugh
Sid Hartman of the Star Tribune, just moments into radio announcer Alan Horton’s introduction of Garnett, which included an explanation of Garnett’s amazing past with the Wolves, interrupted by saying “everybody knows that already.”
Horton calmly continued before Garnett laughed while responding to Hartman by saying, “What’s wrong with you?”
The moment drew a big laugh from the attending media.
