Case Keenum threw a career high four touchdown passes to lead the Vikings to a big 38-30 road win over the Washington Redskins.
Keenum had 11 completions for 188 yards and touchdowns to Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen and David Morgan in the first half, and he connected with Jarius Wright on the opening drive of the third quarter for his fourth touchdown pass.
Then Keenum unraveled with interceptions on back-to-back passes, both of them into the hands of defensive back D.J. Swearinger – and both resulting in points for the Redskins.
The turnovers and touchdowns turned Minnesota’s 35-17 lead into a 35-27 game with plenty of time remaining. Fortunately, Keenum was able to lead a 13-play drive ending with a 53-yard field goal by Kai Forbath to give the Vikings a 38-27 lead.
Had Keenum continued to struggle, Teddy Bridgewater had his helmet on and was ready to go as the backup quarterback.

Washington kicked a late field goal to make it a one-score game, but they failed to recover an onside kick.

- Thielen: 8 catches, 166 yards, TD
- Diggs: 4 catches, 78 yards, TD
- Latavius Murray: 17 carries, 68 yards, TD
Minnesota is now 7-2, tied with the Saints for the second-best record in the NFC.
