Karl-Anthony Towns will miss two more weeks with a fractured wrist as he was re-evaluated on Friday afternoon for an injury suffered during a loss to the Toronto Raptors on Feb. 10. The news is the latest chapter in what has been a lost season for the face of the franchise.
Towns missed 15 games back in December when he sprained his knee during an overtime loss on Dec. 13 and has played in just 12 games since thanks to his latest ailment.
With the news, it is unclear whether Towns will play again this season as he would be able to play in 14 games if he were to return March 20 against the Utah Jazz. But that’s a best-case scenario and with the Wolves buried toward the bottom of the Western Conference standings, they could decide to shut him down if the injury has not healed by his next evaluation.
