After eight long weeks, Justin Jefferson will return to action for the Vikings Sunday.
Jefferson landed on injured reserve after suffering a hamstring injury in Minnesota’s Week 5 loss to the Chiefs. The fourth-year receiver said Thursday he was “excited to be back on the field, to be playing with this team and to finally just be active on that field.”
Head coach Kevin O’Connell said he “doesn’t anticipate any restrictions” when it comes to Jefferson returning after missing eight weeks.
While any offense would miss a player the caliber of Jefferson, the Vikings offense was still able to put up the sixth-most passing yards in the league while the receiver was on the sidelines.

QUESTIONABLE: Ed Ingram and Theo Jackson pic.twitter.com/qoEr6NigWn
— Minnesota Vikings (@Vikings) December 8, 2023
As Jefferson looks set to return there is question about whether a change on the offensive line might be forced on O’Connell, with right guard Ed Ingram listed as questionable with a hip injury.
Ingram has not missed a game for the Vikings since being drafted by the team in 2022. Blake Brandel would start if Ingram is unable to play Sunday.
Safety Theo Jackson (illness) is also listed as questionable ahead of Sunday’s game in Las Vegas.
