Josh Howard’s 16 points and 10 rebounds made up for Kevin Love’s poor shooting performance and the Timberwolves beat the 76ers in Philadelphia, 105-88 Tuesday night. Love shot just 2-10 and scored six points — his lowest point total since March of 2011.
Alexey Shved had his third straight game with at least 16 points. He connected on 4-7 three-point attempts en route to 17 points. Shved’s shooting has been much-improved in the last few games, but head coach Rick Adelman thinks Shved will get even better.
Dante Cunningham, Luke Ridnour, J.J. Barea, Derrick Williams and Malcolm Lee also scored in double-figures.
Andrei Kirilenko missed his third straight game due to back spasms.
Minnesota is back on the court Wednesday night in Boston for a game against Kevin Garnett and the Celtics.
