Jose Berrios got all the run support he would need when Brian Dozier led off Sunday’s game with a home run as the Twins went on to blank the Orioles 7-0.
In the category of things-that-don’t-surprise-us, @BrianDozier really knows how to start a ball game. #DozierGoesDeep #MNTwins https://t.co/n5jc5X2djR

Dozier would homer again, as would Eduardo Escobar and Miguel Sano, who homered in Saturday’s win, too.
Forget the white stuff from the sky. We’ll take this kind of Sanó any day. #LetItSano #MNTwins https://t.co/ENvUShISS5

Berrios, meanwhile, kept the Twins starting staff red-hot with a complete-game shutout. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 6.
He’s not as strong, not as physical … but damn if Jose Berrios’ stuff doesn’t remind me of Jose Fernandez’s. The fastball is electric, the changeup rarely used but good and the curveball — I’d love to describe it, but I’ve yet to find an adjective suitable for its awesomeness.

Berrios’ gem comes on the heels of Kyle Gibson’s 6 hitless innings on Saturday and Jake Odorizzi’s 6-inning, 2-hit gem.
Through three games, Minnesota’s starters have allowed a combined 5 hits and zero runs in 21 innings.
The Twins start a two-game series in Pittsburgh on Monday before returning to Minneapolis for their Home Opener Thursday against the Mariners.
