The Minnesota Twins evened their series with the Milwaukee Brewers scoring a 2-0 victory on Saturday night.
The early part of Saturday’s game was dominated by the starting pitchers. José Berrîos and Corbin Burnes dueled through the first six innings and both pitchers had no-hitters going into the seventh.
Byron Buxton delivered the first hit of the ball game, crushing a home run off Burnes to right-center in the seventh inning. The blast was his second home run of the year and gave the Twins a 1-0 lead.

Burnes exited the game after Buxton’s bomb, striking out 11 and hitting a batter over 6 1/3 innings. While Burnes silenced the Twins’ bats, Berrîos one-upped the Milwaukee right-hander, striking out 12 batters over six innings.
But Berrîos was also pulled going into the seventh and ceded to the bullpen. After Taylor Rogers delivered a 1-2-3 seventh inning, Luis Arråez delivered an RBI single to give the Twins a 2-0 lead.
The Brewers finally got in the hit column off Tyler Duffey in the eighth inning but the right-hander was able to strand runners on first and third innings to get out of the jam. Alex Colomé finished things off in the ninth and the Twins had their first victory of the season.
The Twins (1-1) will wrap up the three-game series with the Brewers on Sunday afternoon.
