The singer has ties to football, too.
She’s a self described “NFL fanatic,” according to her Twitter bio. Her team of choice isn’t the Vikings or the Packers, though. Fox Sports reported in 2014 that the singer is a huge Cardinals fan.
Her dad was also in the game. Phillippi Sparks played for the New York Giants in the 90s. According to ESPN, he spent a year with Dallas, too.
There are other special festivities planned for Sunday’s first regular season game at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The Vikings will unveil their new “Vikings Skol Chant.”
Other pregame festivities include players warming up on the field while celebrity radio star DJ Skee puts on a live DJ performance.
An extended halftime show will feature the Minnesota Orchestra and pay tribute to Prince.
The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and Sam Bradford is expected to play.
