Joey Gallo smacked a homer in his first game back from injury and Edouardo Julien and Trevor Larnach also went deep as the Minnesota Twins responded from Tuesday’s 10-inning loss with a 10-4 win over the Red Sox at Fenway Park on Wednesday night.
Julien got the party started with a two-run homer off Corey Kluber in the first inning, and Gallo made it a 7-0 game when he went deep in the third. It was Gallo’s first game since suffering a strain in his right side April 7 against the Astros.

With plenty of run support, Joe Ryan continued to look the part of a front-end starter by allowing three runs on six hits over six innings, earning his fourth win of the season in the process. He’s 4-0 with a 3.24 ERA to start the season.
Minnesota is now 11-7, a game and a half in front of Cleveland for first place in the AL Central.
