The Twins were hoping hard-throwing right-hander Joel Zumaya would help solidify the back-end of the bullpen this season, but he won’t be contributing at all. Zumaya lasted just 13 pitches in his first live batting practice session before leaving the mound with pain in his right elbow, which turned out to be a torn ligament that will keep him out the entire season.
