Joe Mauer has won a Silver Slugger Award for the fifth time in his career.
Mauer missed the final month and change of the season because of a concussion, but he still finished with 11 home runs, 47 RBI and .324 batting average. He finished second in the American League batting race behind Detroit’s Miguel Cabrera (.348).

Joe Mauer's 5th Silver Slugger means he's got less than only Mike Piazza (10), Ivan Rodriguez (7) and Lance Parrish (6) among catchers.
