We’re fewer than two months from the Feb. 20, 2016 outdoor alumni hockey game at TCF Bank Stadium between the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks.
On Monday night, prior to losing at home to the Dallas Stars, the Wild unveiled the uniforms players on the Minnesota team will wear during the outdoor game.
The jersey has a North Stars logo on the right shoulder and a Wild logo on the left shoulder.
The uniforms further explained via a statement from the team:
“The vintage Minnesota North Stars™ home white uniform directly mimics the last version of the jersey adorned with the “N-star” logo. Nostalgic green and yellow shadowed numbers and accent stripes will be a familiar sight back on Minnesota ice. The shoulders of the alumni jersey feature the Minnesota North Stars™ and the Minnesota Wild logos, linking together the alumni from both teams.
The classic look does not end with jersey. The pants are also vintage Minnesota North Stars™ green with gold and white piping and the uniform is finished with retro tan gloves resembling leather gloves of the 1960-70s.”
The alumni game will be played at 4 p.m. Feb. 20 and the next day will feature the Wild versus the Blackhawks in the Stadium Series game at TCF Bank Stadium.
