Jason Castro is no dummy. He went to Stanford, so he’s automatically super smart.
But he doesn’t understand Minnesota’s finest food: hotdish.
“I’m still unsure of what hotdish actually is,” Castro said on a conference call Wednesday. “I was kind of given a brief explanation, but I still am trying to put it together. I’ll give it a chance, I’m pretty open to anything food-wise, so I’m definitely game for it.”
The fun talker started when Castro took part in a fan Q&A on the Twins’ Twitter account.

Castro is the new Twins starting catcher after signing a three-year, $24.5 million contract. He spent his first six seasons with the Houston Astros and was an All-Star in 2013.
Obviously, Castro is another casserole guy, but he’ll eventually learn our intrepid ways.
