The brother of Timberwolves rookie Jarrett Culver scored 100 points in his college basketball game Tuesday night.
J.J. Culver, a senior at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas, became the second player in the history of the NAIA to score 100 points in his team’s 124-60 victory over Southwestern Adventist University.
Culver’s previous career high was 41 points, which he destroyed with a 51-point first half, including his team’s first 42 points. He kept on shooting in the second half and finished the night 34-of-62 for 100 points, including making 12-of-33 threes and 20-of-27 free throws.
He also had nine rebounds, five steals, two blocks and one assist, according to Wayland’s website.
“First I have to thanks God. Second I couldn’t have done this without my coaches and teammates. Definitely a dream come true. I put in a lot of work for this. I love playing basketball and thanks everyone for the support,” Culver said in a tweet.
Jarrett Culver was taken sixth overall by the Wolves in the June NBA Draft. He tweeted: “Somebody tell me I’m not dreaming.”

The single-game scoring record in the NAIA is 113 points, set in 1954 by Clarence “Bevo” Francis of Rio Grande (Ohio).
