Logan Morrison upped his batting average to .194 on the season with two hits including his 10th homer of the season as the Twins beat the Orioles 5-2 to snap a six-game losing streak Thursday night at Target Field.
Morrison’s solo homer in the fourth inning put the Twins up 3-0, a lead that the bullpen held after starting pitcher Aaron Slegers allowed just one run on three hits over six innings.
The other star of the game was center fielder Jake Cave, who had three hits and made an outstanding leaping catch to rob Chris Davis of extra bases in the fourth inning.
Max Kepler also made a nice diving grab in the game.
