Jack Morris is returning to the radio and television booth to broadcast Twins games this season, the Minnesota Twins announced Friday.
According to the Star Tribune, Morris will serve as a pre-game and post-game analyst on FOX Sports North and he’ll do some color commentary next to Dick Bremer when Bert Blyleven is on vacation. Blyleven worked 100 of 162 games last season. On the radio side, Morris will co-host the “Ron Gardenhire Show” on Sunday mornings on KTWN. He’ll also be a part of “This is Twins Territory,” which will air 10 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Sundays during the regular season.
Morris worked on the Toronto Blue Jays radio team in 2013.
Morris was the 1991 World Series hero. His 10-inning, complete game shutout in Game 7 lifted the Twins over the Atlanta Braves for the second championship in team history.
He recently missed out on a trip to the Hall of Fame when voters passed over him for a 15th consecutive year. Unfortunately, it was his final year of eligibility.
