J.A. Happ carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-0 on Friday night.
Happ was outstanding for the Twins as he was dominant from the opening pitch. Although he issued a pair of walks in the third inning, Happ held the Pirates hitless for 7.1 innings, allowing a double to Jacob Stallings in the eighth to end his no-hit bid.
