It’s official, the Minnesota Vikings have activated quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and placed quarterback Sam Bradford on season-ending injured reserve.
This marks the return of Bridgewater, whose career was threatened by a dislocated knee and torn ACL suffered during the team’s Aug. 30, 2016 practice. He can now compete with Case Keenum for the starting job.
As for Bradford, his season is done. According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Bradford had his left knee scoped Tuesday by Dr. James Andrews, who “cleaned up” his knee “in hopes of easing pain and discomfort.”
With Bradford out, Kyle Sloter remains the third quarterback on the active roster.
