It’ll be interesting to see how the Twins react in the coming days after Bartolo Colon roughed his way through 3 2/3 innings Thursday in his first start since being signed by the Twins.
Bartolo ColĂłn's night: 3.2 IP, 4 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO, 1 HR. 76 pitches, 50 strikes. 9/17 FPS. Topped out at 89 MPH. #MNTwins

Colon, making the start for the Rochester Red Wings (Minnesota’s Triple-A affiliate), gave up four runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five.
1500 ESPN speculated before the game that if the Twins saw enough from Colon they’d likely call him up to make a start Tuesday against the New York Yankees, likely replacing Felix Jorge in the starting rotation.
More importantly, the Red Wings were serving up sandwiches named after the 44-year-old’s nickname. The “Big Sexy Sandwich” was loaded with pulled pork, bacon, salami, cheddar cheese, cabbage, tomato and thousand island dressing.
