This story sort of slipped through the cracks, but it seems that Vikings star Adrian Peterson is now a married man.
According to the Pioneer Press, Peterson’s longtime girlfriend Ashley Brown was sporting a large diamond on her ring finger when the two were at a Starkey Hearing Foundation gala on Sunday.
When asked by a Pioneer Press photographer how she should be identified in photos of the couple together on the red carpet, she said “Ashley.” When asked for her last name, she hesitated and then replied “Peterson.”
Ashley’s Twitter profile also notes that she is a wife. Her Twitter name, by the way, is @MrsAshPeterson.
During Peterson’s prolific 2012 season, there were multiple reports floating around the Internet that Peterson was engaged to Brown. The Big Lead has a roundup of those rumors, which Peterson denied.
Congrats to the Petersons, but as the Daily Norseman says, “maybe AD can bring home a significantly larger ring for his new bride in the near future.”
