The No. 17 Iowa Hawkeyes secured the No. 2 seed in the Big Ten tournament after beating Minnesota women’s basketball team 92 – 76 at home Sunday. Iowa’s Melissa Dixon put up 27 points, and two others posted triple-doubles, Gopher Sports reports.
In the last regular game of the season, Gopher Shae Kelly had more points, however, scoring 29 points and earning 12 rebounds. Amanda Zahui B. also had a double-double with 22 points, 21 rebounds and seven blocks.
The Gophers finished the season 22-8 overall and 11-7 in Big Ten play.
On Sunday evening, the Big Ten will release the tournament schedule.
I think they'll get in, but @GophersWBB has look of 8 or 9 seed. Trying not to imagine a 2nd round game against UConn or South Carolina.
