It looks like the Vikings will get wide receiver Adam Thielen back in time for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, while Kansas City still has questions about the availability of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
After being limited in practice last week, Mahomes will do “a little bit more” this week, according to a report from the Kansas City Star. Had last week’s game against the Packers been a playoff matchup, Mahomes told NBC’s Michele Tafoya that he would’ve played.
“He probably will,” head coach Andy Reid said of Mahomes doing more in practice. “A little bit more, yeah.”
As for Thielen, he returned to practice Wednesday after a strained hamstring caused him to miss the first game of his career last Thursday against Washington.
“Adam Thielen went through stretches with teammates then worked with a trainer. He later joined teammates for position drills,” said team reporter Eric Smith.

Minnesota also had wide receiver Josh Doctson practicing for the first time during the regular season. He was placed on injured reserve shortly after signing as a free agent during the preseason.
The Chiefs, meanwhile, were without five starters at Wednesday’s practice, including cornerback Bashaud Breeland, defensive end Frank Clark, defensive end Alex Okafor, right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, left tackle Eric Fisher and punter Dustin Colquitt.
