After battling injuries during college at Ole Miss, wide receiver Laquon Treadwell was hoping to have a healthier start to his career in the NFL.
That hasn’t been the case.
After missing significant time with injuries as a rookie, Treadwell’s second season is off to a rough start now that he’s dealing with a hamstring injury.
Treadwell got into a fight with safety Antone Exum Jr. during training camp practice on Monday and after a day off Tuesday he was missing from Wednesday’s afternoon practice. But Treadwell claims he suffered the injury running routes, not fighting with Exum.

Regardless of how it happened, the injury isn’t serious and he could be back on the practice field Friday.

Treadwell had just one catch last season after being picked in the first round of the draft by the Vikings. He’s reportedly shown a lot of growth already this season.
“I think he’s come a long way just from what I’ve seen from when I got here to this point this year,” quarterback Sam Bradford said this week, according to ESPN. “Obviously, he’s big. He’s physical. He’s got strong hands. It seems like he does a really good job at making contested catches when he has the opportunity. It’s nice to have a guy like that to put in the back side and know you can throw it into some tight windows, and know he can come down with it.”
As for offensive tackle Riley Rieff, he’s been hampered by a bad back and is expected to resume practicing any day now.
