After losing Monday’s game in Dallas the Timberwolves have fallen to a season worst three-games below .500, and it seems that any chance of making a playoff run is slipping away.
Injuries and bad defense are to blame. NBA.com notes the Wolves have been one of the league’s five worst defenses since December 15.
Wolves center Nikola Pekovic says they can “fight back” as long as they “don’t give up.”
Tom Powers of the Pioneer Press agrees, saying he won’t feel bad for them until they start playing some defense.
With Kevin Love out, the Wolves need a jump in production from Derrick Williams.
